DLSU U-Week My Lasallian Experience:

As a Thomasian surrounded by so many Lasallian friends, it's really no big deal going to La Salle anytime.  But that day was really different cause my long time friends, the boys, weren't there with me.  They really didn't care about the events in DLSU after they graduated but they get annoyed everytime I get invited. LABO. Hahaha.

Last February 18, 2011, Andrew (friend from FEU) and I were invited by my friend Jazz Pangilinan to go to DLSU's U-Week.  So I took half of the day off so I can visit their booth and experience the "Haunted Hall".

It was my first time to spend hours inside DLSU & seeing a lot of good looking people.  We helped Jazz, Kenneth & Mark entertain the customers and we really had a lot of fun.
Ryan, Luigi and Margo just some of their models.

Students checking out the shirts

Kenneth & Mark taking their orders, while Jazz is entertaining other students/alumni.

I also spent time with my busy fashionista friend Ana Gonzales who also has her booth (Anagon X-Vern).

New item in Anagon's Collection.  Personalized rings, P150 each.

I also saw our travel contact, Erickson and our dear tourist guide in Puerto Galera, Luningning.

Later in the afternoon, Andrew & I decided to go to the Haunted Hall. AND Wow, the line was really long and we had to wait.

They said it was gonna start at 6:30 but well, we were able to enter the hall at 8pm...I think.  But it was worth the wait, I had so much fun screaming. :))  We went back to the booth and stayed them til 9pm, then we went home.  Didn't finish the concert cause I had to be at home and well babysit my nephew/lil bro.

My Monday

Monday, January 17, 2011…

Shouldn’t it be a HELL day? For me, NO?  Today:

·         I just got 2 phone calls from the staff informing me where they are.

·         Follow up on the applicants to be interviewed, HR rescheduled on Wednesday.

·         Changed the staff forecast

·         Got a call from the client who wants to speak with the manager.

·         I was able to deposit my investment for DLSU’s GreenFusion.

·         I played Chess, Tumblebug, opened my 2 facebook accounts, my tumblr account and I’ve been tweeting the whole day.

·         I haven’t played Plants vs. Zombies today, I’m not in the mood to battle the zombies. Hahaha

INSULTED

Insulted.

That is how I feel right now.

Well maybe it's also my fault.  I was too engrossed watching basketball games, blabbing about ballers and hanging out with them.  Well I don't regret that, cause most of them are really good friends, actually like brothers.

Our beloved RP Azkals are now popular after their great stint in the AFF Suzuki Cup & football is now making its way back to popularity.  As a football fan & player, it's normal that I'm so happy & excited with what is happening.  Because of that, I get snide remarks from friends like "pag dating ng July, makakalimutan mo rin ang football at azkals", "nag shift ka na pala sa football", "weh football player ka, di nga".

Annoying and really INSULTING.

I just want you to know,

Football is, and will always be my first love.

I was a football player back in grade school, and I'm still playing 'friendly' football games with my guy friends.  I'm sure most of you would ask for a picture of me playing football, sorry, there's none.  I don't need to prove anything to you.

I may not be one of the greatest football players, but my love for the game will show you how the sport means to me.  You know nothing.  You don't notice how my face lights up when I hear the magic words "Goal", "Penalty Kick", "Kick Off".  You weren't there when I argued with my mom because she was against with the idea of me playing.  It is a very expensive game, that's why she disapproved before, but she understands now.

It is my life. It inspires me to be a better person. It defines who I really am.

As for basketball, those ballers would always have that special place in my heart but they'd have to understand they're not on top of my list.  It'll always be football (and the booters).

************************************************************************
**I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friends (who don't "speak football"), for believing, understanding & supporting me. Love you guys**

My 2010 Year End Review

My 2010 was kinda boring but I still had a lot of fun.

I worked as a tech support representative for Dell. I was always in the night shift so I was really earning alot compared to the corporate people but I realized that it was not an easy job. You'd have to deal with everyone especially with the customers. I've had alot of irate and funny callers and I can say I've learned alot from them. This is one of my most unforgettable customers imagine speaking with a 70 y/o lady who has to tinker on her wireless printer. How the hell are you going to explain to her what is the WEP/ WPA key and all other non-Dell related stuff. She gets irate, speaks with our L2 then asks for my supervisor. Good thing that call wasn't monitored by QA.

Anton(TL) & Ron(L2)

I love my team, it's just so sad that our supervisor had to leave us because of issues with HR and with the higher ups.

Team Antonio aka Wave 10

He was the nicest and the most kick ass supervisor in our account.

Because of that we had to be dispersed to other teams. I was lucky enough to be handled by another nice supervisor. I didn't have any issues with my new teammates cause they were all accommodating and really friendly.

I was really having fun working there but well, changes and some health reasons made me decide to resign. I also had to decide if I had to go back to the corporate world because I was turning 25, and well we all know that corporate companies have the age limit for applicants. I searched jobstreet.ph and jobs.db and submitted my most updated cv.

At the time I was having health issues and some work ethics issues with the higher ups and other agents (which was not an issue at all, I just didn't like working with them HA HA HA) I was lucky enough to receive an invitation for an exam and interview from one of the BIG 4 Audit firms in the Philippines. They wanted me to work as soon as possible, so I passed my resignation letter to my supervisor. I know my supervisor and my favorite L2 were saddened by the news. They even told me I was their favorite agent and I was one of the nicest. I was also sad because my team was like my family when I was working there. But I had to move on and make a big leap for my future.

I didn't have a hard time adjusting to my new 'home'.

The people are nice and also accommodating.

Working for another audit firm before also helped me adjust and adapt to the work environment.

This year was also about meeting new & awesome friends who made me appreciate life. There's this guy who also made me 'kilig' since August up to now, well sometimes. I can't mention his name or disclose his identity here because he and his dad are both popular. He just makes me feel important most of the time even if I know he has tons of girls swarming around him everywhere and anytime.

This year was also one of the best on my list because I was able to spend some quality time out of town with my HS kada,

and I was able to attend our famous annual BASAGAN last December 26, 2010.

I also had lots of quality time with my UST Family (UAAP Games, UST Tambay, Korean Lunch date, my 25th...)

Another reason I'm happy this 2010 is because the Azkals made my first love, Football, really famous in the Philippines.

I wish this 2011, I'd get to spend more time with my family and friends, and maybe with my special someone. :P

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wishing you guys a prosperous and love - filled 2011!

Much love,

IckayDoratheExplorer :)

DUH.

  • Iba ang humor ng mga lasallians, kaya I enjoy spending time with them.
  • Marami akong natututunan sa kanila.
  • It's NOT TRUE na mayabang sila, infact, kung sino pa ang mga pirated, sila pa ang mayayabang. I know I don't have the right to call them pirated kasi hindi naman ako original. HAHA
***Kaya kahit ano sabihin MO about them, I'd still choose DLSU over YOUR school ***

Can somebody please interpret my dream?

Ok this is a super weird but cute dream. Hahahahahaha.

I saw 3 turtles inside a room, then I went outside and found another one with a shell colored metallic pink and purple then another turtle,a green(DLSU green) one, was about to bite my toe.  So I ran to my mom, screaming that there are turtles inside our house.  She just told me to calm down and just hit the turtles.

Then suddenly we were inside a car, I looked outside and saw Jay Jumawan, my ♥/former boss talking to a relative.  Then I saw that relative point to our car, so I waved at Jay but I think he didn’t see me.

After that I noticed that we were already in an unknown but familiar place.  Then familiar faces and UST athletes, mostly batch mates were greeting me.  Then out of nowhere, Darell Green, UST Tiger called me then I saw Oping Sumalinog, Blue Eagle walk out of the chapel, smiling at me

DAMN. I can’t get that smile off my mind. GRRRR

My dearest Ballsy,

I write you this letter with tears in my eyes and as if steel fingers are crushing my heart because I wanted so much to be with you as you celebrate your legal emancipation. Now that you have come of age, my love, a voice tells me that I am no longer young and suddenly, I feel old. An old poet gave this advice very long ago “when you are sad, remember the roses will bloom in December.” ... [read more]
